Preformed Seals
Preformed Seals
Preformed Seals
Preformed Seals are concrete joint sealing products manufactured by extrusion molding of neoprene compounds. They are compression-inserted into concrete pavement joints to block foreign material infiltration and maintain joint functionality stably over the long term.
Compliant with ASTM D2628, DOT (U.S. Department of Transportation), and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) standards, they are applied to various concrete pavement joints including expressways, airport runways, and bridges. With diverse designs of 4-cell, 5-cell, and 6-cell configurations, optimized curing time, and resistant neoprene material, they guarantee a long service life of 15 to 25 years.
Joint Seal Service Life Comparison
Preformed seals provide significantly longer service life compared to other joint sealants.
Product Design Features
Preformed seals are precision-engineered for optimal performance.
Multi-Cell Structure Design
Various cell structure designs including 4-cell, 5-cell, and 6-cell allow selection of the optimal product for joint width and depth. The cell structure evenly distributes compression forces, ensuring long-term sealing performance.
Optimized Curing Time
Curing conditions of the neoprene compound are optimized to achieve uniform physical properties. It stably responds to contraction and expansion caused by temperature and humidity changes while maintaining consistent quality.
Chemical-Resistant Neoprene
Using highly resistant neoprene material, it provides excellent durability against external environmental factors such as ozone, UV rays, and oil. It maintains stable recovery even in extreme temperature environments (-19 to 100 degrees C).
ASTM D2628 Quality Standards
The quality of preformed seals is strictly managed according to ASTM D2628 international standards.

Chemical Resistance & Durability
The excellent chemical resistance of neoprene material delivers stable performance in various environments.
Ozone Resistance
Confirmed no cracking in ozone exposure testing per ASTM D1147 standards. Possesses strong resistance to deterioration caused by atmospheric ozone.
Oil Resistance
Oil swell rate within max. 45% per ASTM D471 standards. Excellent chemical resistance to oil spills on roads.
Temperature Resistance
Maintains recovery rate of 83~85% or higher in the extreme temperature range of -19 degrees C to 100 degrees C. Operates stably in both summer heat and winter cold.
Aging Resistance
Property loss within max. 20% under 70 hrs / 100 degrees C conditions per ASTM D573 standards. Minimal performance degradation even with long-term use.
